Easter With the Boys

The boys enjoyed hunting Easter eggs at Aunt Virginia's house. Hayes looks like he's ready to get back to the eggs with Skittles in them!

Relationship?

What's the relationship between these two? Sister/brother?

How about mother/son!

Yep, it's Laura and Hayes.

Going Beyond Whole Foods!

We've discovered a new source of really fresh food: Moore Farms and Friends . Each weekend, we visit their website and place an order for food. We let them select what's freshest that week. They deliver it on Wednesday to a church near us and we go by and pick it up. The picture above is this week's selection. The magazine was included in the order.

Moore Farms is located in Woodland, Alabama, not far from the Georgia state line.

Boy Hard at Work

Reid likes to type information into the word processor software. Sometimes it's a story, sometimes it deals with arithmetic or just some numbers. The problem is that he usually erases what he has typed so we don't often know where he's been.

In the top picture he has started a story with the sentence, "The dog had the cards." I'm not sure where he was headed because he quickly switched to numbers and started typing in counting by nines.

We're going to try to capture some of the stories before he erases them. Most deal with animal situations.

Quick - get me a copy of the "Little Red Book"!

My comment about not having many pictures triggered submissions from friends and family. This one is from Mary Helen's cousin, Larry, and his wife, Pat. They are frequent travel buddies and were with us in China and Tibet. (The Chinese would say that the addition of "and Tibet" is being redundant.)

This picture was taken on our first full day in China. We're standing in Tiananmen Square with the entrance to The Forbidden City in the background. Chairman Mao overlooks things. It was "forbidden" because the emperor didn't let just anybody in.

As with any photo in the blog, click on the photo to see a larger version.

Happy Birthday, Granddaddy

The numbers were reversed on Jim's birthday cookie. It should read, "46".

Smile, Hayes

This is the face you get whenever you say, "Smile, Hayes!"

Let's See Barry Bonds Do This Good!

Reid really "bulked up" for Halloween in 2007.

Hayes' Birthday

In October of 2007, Hayes turned two. On the top, he's digging in at the local pizza/game place. In the next picture, "Life is good!"

Cousins' Birthday Bash

Reid and Ella were born about a month apart so when Ella visited Atlanta in the summer of 2007, we had a joint birthday party (age 5).

Wall Walking

It's depressing how few photos we have of ourselves. Here's one of the two of us hiking along the Great Wall of China. No, we didn't walk the whole thing!

For more pictures of this trip, see the "Picture Galleries" link on the right side of the screen.

(I'm wearing the stevedore belt because my back was hurting.)
